cabin fever

well.. day 3 of boredem since the snow storm. i finally decided i wanted to risk it and head into town and here i am, at the library. i really needed to return some stuff and might as well rent out new books seeing that i won't have anything else to do the rest of the week other than work. i found a really neat web site where it suggests good books to read so i browsed around on it for like an hour.. goodreads.com (pj if you get bored) anyway, after i did everything i wanted to do online, i decided i'm going to update my blog because i'm so dreading going back to the house.

so the snow went up to my knees. i woke up yesterday and looked outside to see how the road conditions were and noticed my neigbhbor was clearing his drive way. i noticed mine was way worse than his and decide to walk over there and ask to borrow his snow shovel after he gets done. Mr. W was really nice about it.. after talking to him i went back inside to prepare myself for this extrenous sport. i came to the conclusion that after a few mins of shoveling, i would die of exhaustion and pain.. seeing that i have never exercised a day in my life. I was so not looking forward to it, but it had to be done. So a few minutes later, i went outside with my ipod, sunglasses and gloves and all ready to dive in. To my surprise, Mr. W was already over in my drive way and have already cleared a part of it. i felt so bad about it, i really didn't want him to do it.. i just wanted to borrow his shovel. i kept insisting i can take over and it shouldn't be that hard.. and he kept saying, "oh it's not a problem, i'm happy to do it." so, after being defeated, i stayed outside with him to keep in company. there's no way i'm going back inside whilst an older man shoves my driveway.. boy, did i felt bad. An hour later, it was all done. Secrectly, i was happy that i didn't have to do it because it would have taken me 3 hours and my body would have so sore by the end of it. I am so lucky to live(d) in a neighborhood full of nice people. That's one thing i'm going to miss about mountain home.

XOXO sally
